About Free Oppression

Free Oppression is an independent online store and design studio owned and operated by Jacob Balslev in Copenhagen, Denmark. The store sells original political-commentary artwork on made-to-order apparel, accessories, and home goods, primarily to customers in the United States.

I create the artwork to encourage peaceful dialogue, critical thinking, civic participation, human rights, and free expression. Some designs reference well-known cultural or historical symbols, but the artwork and commentary are independently created.

Online-only store

Free Oppression operates exclusively online. It has no physical retail storefront, showroom, customer pickup location, or local inventory in any country.

How products are made and shipped

I create the designs and manage the store from Denmark. Physical products are made to order and shipped directly to customers by independent production partners connected through Printify.

  • Items are manufactured, printed, or embroidered after an order is placed.
  • The production and ship-from location varies by product, destination, and current production capacity.
  • Items in the same order may arrive in separate parcels.

Current production and delivery expectations are published in the Shipping Policy. Damaged, defective, or misprinted items are handled under the Refund Policy.
